IRMA 2016 Relaxation Policy

IRMA SEATS AND RESERVATION:

Reservation of seats is the distribution and classification of seats for the candidates who belong to reserved categories. To facilitate such candidates with equal opportunity, the Government of India has laid down a criterion for reservation on the seats available for admission.

All the candidates belonging to any categories whether Reserved or General are eligible to apply.

The candidates belonging to the General Category must have 50% marks in aggregate in order to apply for IRMA and candidates from Reserved Categories must have 45% marks in order to meet the basic eligibility criteria.

Unlike CAT in IRMA, there is fixed reservation of seats for the Reserved category. However, Mr. Jairam Misra (Union and Rural Development Minister) quoted that IRMA should reserve some sets for the underprivileged section for the Upliftment of the section.

NOTE: There is no fixed pattern that the management colleges follow regarding the seat allocation. However, there are certain provisions made and privileges that are granted to the reserved category.
