NATA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

NATA 2024 registration process has been started on March 1, 2024. Eligible candidates can apply online for the upcoming session of the NATA 2024 exam. The NATA eligibility criteria 2024 have been released by the conducting body at nata.in along with the NATA 2024 Information Brochure. The eligibility criteria refer to the guidelines that the aspirant must follow to be eligible for the NATA exam. The candidates should go through the NATA 2024 eligibility criteria carefully before filling out the NATA Application Form 2024. Candidates failing to comply with the eligibility criteria of NATA 2024 will not be allowed to appear for the test.

The NATA 2024 exam is being held from April 6 to July 2024 on every weekend; Saturday and Sunday. CoA administers the NATA exam every year for admission into the top architecture universities in India. Candidates get admitted to various colleges around the nation depending on their NATA exam results.

Academic Qualification

Candidates must have a 10+2 diploma or its equivalent from a recognised board.

OR Candidates who have completed a 10+3 Diploma Exam with Mathematics as a required subject

Marks Required

The minimum marks criterion for BArch admissions were previously modified, as declared by the Union Education Minister and the Council of Architecture.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria of NATA 2024

NATA 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Academic Qualification 

  • The applicants who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects or 10+3 diploma with Mathematics subject can appear for NATA 2024
  • Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects or 10+3 diploma with Mathematics as a subject can also appear for NATA 2024

Admissions to 1st Year BArch Program

The eligibility for  admissions into 1st year BArch program is set by CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural education)

The NATA eligibility criteria set by CoA is as follows -

  • No candidates will be admitted into architecture programs unless he/she has passed 10+2 examination with minimum 50% overall marks.
  • Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or 10+3 qualifying exams
  • The minimum marks required for BArch admissions were previously decreased, as declared by the Union Education Minister and the Council of Architecture.

Note: It is important for aspirants to note that qualifying in NATA 2024 is not the only parameter for their admission to any architecture course. They must conform to all the requirements as specified by respective counselling and admission authorities.

If I have not studied Mathematics in my qualifying examination, can I apply for NATA 2024?

No,  you cannot fill out the application form of NATA 2024 exam. It is mandatory to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12 or a Diploma programme.
