How to Apply for RULET 2017

  • The Candidate is required to go to the University website www.uniraj.ac.in to obtain a Payment Invoice and Challa No. for his/her application.
  • After obtaining the Payment Invoice and Challan No., the candidate is required to visit the E-Mitra to pay the requisite fee.

  • The candidate can apply for appearing in the Entrance Test of the maximum of 5 (five) test subjects in a single form.
  • After depositing the requisite fee at E-Mitra the candidate will get a 16 digit Token No. from E-Mitra.
  • With the Challan No. and Token No. so obtained the candidate will fill the online Application Form on the University website www.uniraj.ac.in and submit the form online.
  • The applicants are not required to deposit the hard copy of the online application form. However, they are advised to keep the hard copy of the online application for their own reference .

10+2 exam with minimum 50% marks (Gen. & OBC) & (45% for SC/ST)

RULET 2017 Important Instructions

  •  Candidates have to bring their Admit cards to the examination hall and reach the hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination so as to listen to all the rules/guidelines of taking the examination.
  •  No candidate, under any circumstances, will be allowed to enter the examination center after the commencement of the examination.
  •  A seat indicating Roll Number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidates should find out and occupy their allotted seats only. The candidature of a candidate, found to have changed Hall or seat on his/her own, shall be canceled and no plea would be accepted.
  •  No candidate, without the permission of the Centre Superintendent/ Invigilator, can leave his/her seat or Examination Hall till the completion of the Examination.
  •  Smoking in the Examination Hall is strictly prohibited. Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed inside the Examination Hall.
  •  Phones, Pagers, Cameras or any other such electronic, electro-mechanical or electrical devices are not allowed inside the Examination Hall.

RULET 2017 Relaxation Policy

Reservation of seats/relaxation of marks for S.C.,S.T., Physically Handicapped Candidates:

(A) 50% of the total number of seats in each course in the Faculties of Arts, Fine Arts, Law, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, (including Honours, Pre-Professional, Certificate/Diploma Course, if any, in all these Faculties) will be reserved in each College/Department for NATURAL BORN sons/ daughters of parents belonging to Scheduled Castes (16%), Scheduled Tribes (12%), OBC except creamy layer (21%) andSBC(5%)
(B) 3% of the total number of seats in each category and each course in the Faculties specified in (A) above will be reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates defined as Deaf/ Dumb /Blind /Loss of any limb with permanent disability. As per reservation policy of the Government of Rajasthan.
(C) 1% of the total number of seats in each category and each course in the Faculties specified in (A) above will be reserved for the wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
(D) (i) All Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC and SBC candidates who have passed the qualifying examination for admission to a University course may be arranged in order of merit within the category to which they belong.
(ii) Those who have secured marks above the level upto which the general category students are admitted, they should not be counted towards reserved quota at all and should be included in the General Merit List of admissions.
(iii) Excluding those admitted on merit along with general candidates as at (ii) above, other Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe OBC and SBC candidates should be admitted in the order of merit going down the inter-se-merit list upto the point necessary to secure adequate number of candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes as well as OBC to fulfill the reservation percentage completely.
(iv) It is clarified that in order to fill the reservation quota for SC, ST, OBC and SBC candidates, there should be no hesitation to go down, if necessary, to the pass percentage of the qualifying examination 
(ii) Candidates claiming concession under clause (B) above shall be required to furnish a certificate in original from the Principal S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur / Director, Rehabilitation Research Centre / Head of the Department concerned of S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur.
(iii)A relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum percentage of marks for admission under the provision I (B) shall be admissible to Physically Handicapped candidates defined as deaf/ dumb/blind/loss of any limb with permanent disability. Such cases will be screened and cleared by a Central Committee constituted for this purpose. No other concession or weightage of marks on any other score whatsoever shall however, be admissible to them.
(E)15% supernumerary seats in all courses will be reserved for International Students includingPersons of Indian Origin. Out of the 15% supernumerary seats 1/3rd i.e. 5% seats would be preferably filled by children of NRIs, on payment of five times the fee payable by a regular student of the same course.

Note:

(i) Candidates belonging to S.C., S.T., OBC OBC and SBC category will be required to produce a certificate to that effect from a District Magistrate/ Tehsildar/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate, without which their cases will not be considered under the provision O.81-II, and as per directions of the State Government. Validity ofOBC&SBCCertificates will be as per rules of the Government of Rajasthan.
(ii) Candidates claiming concession under clause (B) aboveshall be required to furnish a certificate in original from the Principal S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur / Director,Rehabilitation Research Centre / Head of the Department concerned of S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur.

RULET Application FAQ

1) What is RULET?

Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test popularly known as RULET  is a state level exam. It is conducted to provide admission to aspirants in five-year integrated B.A, L.L.B programmes in different colleges in state of Rajasthan.

2) How do I get the application form for admission?

Application Forms shall be available online Download application form from the University website http://www.uniraj.ac.in/rulet2017 from April 05, 2017 to May 11, 2017. 

3) I have filled-up the Application Form successfully but now, can I change/correct the details as entered in the Application form?

NO CHANGE can be made after the Final Submission of the Application Form. However, if the time is still left for filling up the Online- Application Form, the applicant has to fill a Fresh/New Application Form along with the prescribed fee. In such case the new ID will be generated by the system and the fee paid for the previously filled Application form will not be refunded. Make Note that the last application form shall be treated as Final.

4) When printed copy of Application and documents to be submitted?

Downloaded application form must be duly filled and to be submitted in the Department of Law, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur alongwith a D.D. of Rs.2,000/- drawn in the favour of “Convener, RULET, University of Rajasthan” payable at Jaipur between 8.00 a.m. 1.00 p.m.. Incomplete forms without entrance fee will not be entertained. Forms received after 4.00 p.m. on May 11, 2017 onwards shall be rejected without any correspondence. 

5) How will a candidate know if his/her registration has been accepted?

Candidate will be informed about acceptance/non-acceptance status of the registration via an e-mail, sent to the email address given during Rajasthan University registration.

6) I have deposited my application fee, How can I get a receipt of the application fee deposition?

Go to State Bank Collect. Click “Payment History”. By putting your mobile no. & DOB or by your mobile no. & DU no. you can get e-receipt.

7) What is the role of acknowledgement slip?

It is a required at the time of submission of printed copy of application and documents.

8) What are the documents I have to attach with the application?

  • Printed copy of application form  
  • copy of e-receipt  

All marksheets from 10th, 12th, Graduation, etc, admit card / certificate of 10th standard as proof of DOB, SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD certificate if applicable.

9) What are the things to be brought to the exam centre by the candidate?

Candidate must bring the following things to the exam center:

  • Admit Card
  • Identification: Candidate should possess an original photo identification to appear for the exam. The name on the Identity proof should match with the name as entered for RULET registration. The photo identification could be a voter ID , Aadhar Card or a Passport. The identity proof should be an original, not a photocopy.
