What is the SNAP 2023 Eligibility Criteria?

Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune, has formally communicated the eligibility criteria for SNAP 2023, as well as the specific criteria for applying to each of the 16 Symbiosis Institutes. The SIU Pune has successfully concluded the SNAP 2023 Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3 on December 10, 17, and 22, 2023. The application process was closed on November 23, 2023. Of utmost importance is the fact that the eligibility criteria for all three of these SNAP exams remain consistent throughout. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the candidate being ineligible to participate in the SNAP exam. Therefore, it is imperative that candidates thoroughly understand these criteria before filling out the SNAP Application Form for the examination.

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2023 serves as the MBA entrance test for admission to the MBA programs offered by 16 Symbiosis institutes located across India. SNAP 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Meeting the eligibility criteria for SNAP is the fundamental requirement that candidates must meet in order to appear for the exam and apply for MBA admission to SNAP accepting colleges. Candidates will find the detailed eligibility criteria for SNAP mentioned below:

Nationality:

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Non-Resident Indian (NRI), and Foreign Nationals can also apply.

Age Limit:

  • There is no age bar to apply for SNAP.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university/institute which requires a specific discipline/ subject specialization need to be checked for eligibility as mentioned below by the respective Institute. The degree should be of at least three years duration or equivalent, as recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

  • Candidates in their final year of graduation are generally eligible to apply for the SNAP exam, provided they met the minimum percentage requirement at the time of application.

  • Different MBA programs offered by Symbiosis International University and its affiliated institutes might have specific eligibility criteria based on the specialization and level of the program. Candidates are advised to carefully review the specific eligibility requirements of the programs they are interested in.

Qualification Marks:

  • Candidates from the general category must have secured minimum 50% marks in their graduation level.

  • A 5% relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates (SC/ST).

  • Those with an engineering background should have a four-year Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in Graduation.

Foreign Qualification:

  • Candidates who have completed their graduation from foreign universities must be verified by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to ensure they are eligible for admission to various management courses.

  • The equivalence certificate would be issued by the Equivalence Division of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Note:

  • In any case, if the candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria, the SIU reserves all the rights to cancel his/her application.

  • Students having backlogs / fail in their final results are not eligible for admission.

  • Specific eligibility conditions apply for admission to different courses, so candidates must verify the eligibility for programmes of their choice.

  • 2 Years full-time work experience after completion of graduation. 

  • Foreign candidates who have completed graduation from any foreign university or institutions are also required to obtain a certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

MBA in Agri-Business

  • Graduate from an accredited University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade for general category candidates and 45% for SC/ST category candidates

  • Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

  • Note: Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be canceled in the event of non-fulfillment of the above-stated criteria.

MBA in Energy and Environment

  • Graduate from an accredited University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) in Engineering / Technology/ Architecture/ B.Sc in Environmental Science.

  • Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

  • Note: Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be canceled in the event of non-fulfillment of the above-stated criteria.

What is the eligibility criteria for writing SNAP Online Entrance Test?
