Selection for admission will be strictly on the basis of rank secured in the merit list subject to the availability of seats in the disciplines at the time of counselling for admission. All the applicants selected for admission to Medicine and Dentistry courses shall be required to be first examined by the Medical Board of Goa Medical College, Bambolim and only those found medically fit, shall be admitted to these courses. Candidates admitted to MBBS, BDS, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing Courses are required to sign a bond with the Government/Institution for specified amount. Guidelines For Merit List for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, AHS & NURSING- a. The merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of GCET–2016 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates who have secured at least 50% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC, & 45% for PH in MBBS and BDS course) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology at GCET- 16 shall be considered for merit list for MBBS and BDS. There shall be no minimum marks for BHMS, BAMS, AHS & Nursing. b. In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, an applicant with more marks in Biology at GCET-2016 shall be placed higher in the merit list. c. In case the marks in Biology are also equal, an applicant with more marks in Chemistry at GCET-2016 will be placed higher in the merit list. d. In case the marks at GCET-2016 in Chemistry are also equal, an applicant with higher aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at qualifying exam (Std.XII the ) will be placed higher in the merit list. e. In the case of a tie at this stage, applicants securing more marks in Biology at qualifying exam (Std. XII to ) will be placed higher in the merit list. f. In case marks in Biology in qualifying exam are also equal, an applicant with higher marks in Chemistry at qualifying exam(Std. XII to ) will be placed higher in the merit list. g. If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with the earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit. Results Publication of Result (Tentative) is 18-05-16
The counselling of qualified candidates shall be held on the university campus. The exact schedule of counselling / percentage of seat allocation shall be intimated later to the qualified candidates along with their rank cards. Counselling and seat allocation will be purely on merit basis i.e. based on the performance in the Entrance Examination.
