NCHMCT JEE 2024 Counselling Overview

The schedule for NCHMCT JEE counselling 2024 will be made available following the announcement of the results. Four rounds of counselling are conducted to offer admission to eligible candidates in different disciplines related to hotel management and catering technology. The counselling process consists of several processes, including NCHMCT JEE 2024 seat allotment, choice filling, locking, and registration. The counselling process for NCHMCT JEE 2024 is open to applicants only if they pass the entrance examination.

Upon completion of every round of the NCHMCT JEE 2024 counselling process, applicants will receive an invitation for document verification. Documents and eligibility requirements are double-checked during the document verification procedure. Following that, students will be assigned to courses and institutions based on their rank. The applicants' locked choices and the All India Rank (AIR) are taken into consideration for allocating seats. Following that, the NCHMCT JEE 2024 counselling process will continue till seats are available.

As there are over 75 participating institutes, students should be prepared for the possibility of being called upon for any round of the NCHMCT JEE 2024 admissions process. Furthermore, the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) administers the NCHMCT JEE 2024 choice filling in online mode. NCHMCT JEE Counselling Procedure 2024

To participate in the counselling procedure of NCHMCT JEE 2024, candidates can follow the steps given below:

Step 1- Registration for NCHMCT JEE Counselling:

To participate in the NCHMCT JEE counselling 2024 procedure, qualified candidates will have to register themselves on the official website. Registration is the first step to proceed in the counselling process of NCHMCT JEE. 

Step 2- Choice Filling and Choice Locking for NCHMCT JEE Counselling:

The next step of the counselling process of NCHMCT JEE involves choice filling of colleges. This is necessary for the seat allotment of the candidates.

Step 3- Seat Allotment Result for NCHMCT JEE Counselling:

Once choice filling and locking of the colleges is done, the authority will release the result of seat allotment. Candidates can view the seat allotment by logging into their accounts.

Step 4- NCHMCT JEE Counselling Fee Payment:

For seat allotment purposes, candidates will have to pay the NCHMCT JEE counselling 2024 fee in online mode. Candidates failing to make the payment in stipulated time will not be allotted seats.

Step 5- Reporting to Allotted College:

Once the seat allotment process is done, the candidate will have to deposit a participating fee of counselling which is Rs. 40,000 (Rs. 38,000 i.e. seat acceptance fee + Rs. 2,000 i.e. counselling fee) and it is inclusive of part of 1st Semester Fee through the HDFC payment gateway available on the website.

How to Check NCHMCT JEE 2024 Counselling Result?

Candidates confused about how to check NCHMCT JEE 2024 counselling or seat allotment results must check the simple steps here:

  • Step 1: Students have to head to the official website of NCHMCT JEE 2024 counselling, which is expected to be updated soon after the result declaration. 
  • Step 2: Then, select the ‘Seat allotment result for BSc (HHA)’ tab. 
  • Step 3: Candidates have to enter their NCHMCT JEE 2024 roll number, password, as well as security pin. 
  • Step 4: Click on the ‘Sign in’  button.

Important Guidelines for NCHMCT JEE 2024 Counselling

Here are a few important guidelines for the NCHMCT JEE 2024 Counselling Process that must be kept in mind by all the participating candidates:

  • The candidates who have qualified NCHMCT JEE 2024 must evaluate all the institutes and apply for the maximum number of colleges so that they are allotted seats in their preferred institute.

  • If the candidates who were provisionally admitted to the colleges fail to submit the proof of passing the qualifying exam (10+2 or its equivalent) at the time of NCHMCT JEE counselling 2024, admission or latest by the last week of September then their candidature would be cancelled. The applicant would no more be considered eligible for admission.

  • Applicants can produce a Secondary Education Board or Pre-University Certificate as proof of Date of Birth during the document verification.

  • As much as 5% to 15% extra seats over the decided seat intake may be offered to the candidates in order to look after the no-shows or dropouts during the NCHMCT JEE 2024 Counselling.

  • A duly attested copy of the admit card along with the signature of the invigilator needs to be submitted during the NCHMCT JEE counselling 2024. 

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Spot Round Counselling

Every year, NCHMCT JEE 2024 Spot Round Counselling is held wherein the candidates mentioned below can participate:

  • Eligible candidates who failed to register during the main counselling rounds or absentees.

  • Candidates who registered in the 1st round and were allotted a seat in the 1st and 2nd round, but did not report at the Reporting Centre.

  • All candidates who are provisionally admitted.

  • Eligible candidates who withdrew before the spot round of NCHM JEE 2024 counselling.

Candidates who are provisionally admitted in the 1st, 2nd or spot round will have to report at the allocated college along with the allotment letter and original testimonials with attested copies for the completion of all admission formalities.

Here are some important pointers explaining the seat withdrawal and fee refund policy at NCHMCT JEE 2024:

1. 100% Refund of the Deposited Fee (Rs. 38,000) is permitted-

A full refund (except the Counselling fee of Rs. 2,000) will be offered to the following aspirants:

  • Candidates who have deposited a Seat Acceptance and Counselling fee of Rs. 40,000 (Rs. 38,000+ Rs. 2,000) but withdrawn from the allotted seat, online by the cut-off date.

  • Candidates who have either not participated in 1st or/ and 2nd round of counselling or participated in aforementioned rounds but were not allotted any seat, or participated in those earlier rounds and were allotted seat but seat got cancelled automatically due to not depositing of the seat acceptance fee, but have further participated in Final Round of Counselling as a fresh candidate by filling the option of the Institute in the Counselling portal, by depositing Rs.40,000 and no seat allotted was in the Final Round.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats during 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling and reported at Reporting Center for verification of documents but withdrawn from the allotted seat within the cut-off date and participated in the Final Round of Counselling, where the earlier deposited amount automatically got transferred to the Final Round but the candidates were not allotted any seats.

2. Partial Refund of the Deposited Fee (Rs. 8,900) is permitted-

A partial refund (Rs. 2,000 + Rs. 29,100 are forfeited) is provided to the following applicants:

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats during the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling but could not withdraw through the system by the cut-off date as they either reported or not reported at the Reporting centre for document verification.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats during 1st and 2nd rounds of Counselling and reported at Reporting Center for verification of documents but withdrawn from the allotted seat within the cut-off date and further participated in the Final Round of Counselling, where the earlier deposited amount automatically transferred to the Final Round and also were allotted seats in the Final Round, but not reported to the Reporting Center for document verification.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats through 1st, 2nd & final rounds of Counselling either reported at the Reporting centre for document verification and not reported to the allotted Institute or reported at the allotted Institute (not deposited the balance fee at the Institute) but did not attend any class.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats through 1st, 2nd & final rounds of Counselling, reported at the Reporting centre for document verification and reported at the allotted Institute, deposited the balance fee at the Institute but did not attend any class.

3. No Refund of the Deposited Fee is permitted-

No refund, except a Caution Money of Rs. 6500 (if paid while reporting at the allotted institute) will be offered to the following candidates:

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats through 1st, 2nd or final rounds of Counselling, reported the Reporting centre for document verification and further reported to the allotted Institute and deposited the remaining fee to the Institute, attended any class/ classes.

NCHM JEE 2024 Reservation Policy

A certain percentage of seats will be reserved for the candidates belonging to the socially and economically backward categories in the NCHMCT JEE 2024 Participating Colleges. The number of seats reserved for students belonging to such categories will differ from Institute to Institute. The percentage of seats reserved for the students of such categories will also depend on the fact that the Institute is a Central Government-run institute, State Government-run Institute or Private Institute. A solitary seat is also reserved for a registered Kashmiri Migrant.

OBC candidates who fall under the Central List of Other Backward Classes (issued by the National Commission for Backward Classes, Government of India) will be eligible to apply for admission under the OBC category admission. The rest of the candidates have to apply under the General category admission.

Similarly, those candidates with less than 40% of a Specified Disability cannot apply for admission under the PwD category.
