OJEE Counselling 2024

OJEE 2024 counselling registration will commence in the first week of July 2024. Candidates who will pass the OJEE exam 2024 or have a valid rank in JEE Main, GPAT, GATE, CAT, MAT, XAT, NIMCET, and ATMA will be eligible to participate in the OJEE 2024 counselling process. The counselling will include registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment. Candidates will be allotted seats in the OJEE participating colleges 2024 as per their ranks in the qualifying exam. The OJEE 2024 seat allotment process will be done in 3 rounds. Candidates will be able to check the OJEE seat allotment 2024 result on the official website by entering their login credentials. On the basis of the candidate's performance in the OJEE 2024 exam, the seat allotment will be done.

OJEE Counselling 2024 Process

The step by step detailed counselling of OJEE 2024 has been provided below for the assistance of the candidates 

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates have to visit the official OJEE website and click on the “New Registration” button to initiate the OJEE 2024 counselling process

  • Post clicking on the “New Registration” button, the candidates will be taken to the “Agreement” page which must be scanned by them carefully before clicking on the “I Agree” button

  • By clicking on the “I Agree” button, the candidates accept the terms & conditions mentioned on the page after which they will be taken to a new page to register themselves. In this step, the candidates will be required to select an appropriate course followed by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth. The candidates must not disclose any of the information provided in this step to anyone.

  • Once they have entered all their details, the candidates have to click on the “Submit” button and proceed to the next step

Step 2: Online Form Filling

  • The candidates will be asked to enter additional information such as mobile number, address, bank details, e-mail address etc which will also display all the information provided by them during Step 1 of the OJEE 2024 counselling process

  • The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number or email address they have provided during this step for verification purpose. Thus, the candidates are requested to provide their valid email ID or mobile number to avoid any sort of hindrance in the flow of communication from the Authorities

  • In the next step, the candidates will be asked to create a password and they need to reconfirm the same by typing the same password in the “Confirm Password” box. The password should be 8 to 13 characters long and must include a minimum of one capital letter (A-Z), one small letter (a-z), one numeric character (0-9) and one special character (@,&,*,# etc)

  • The candidates must keep the password confidential which will help them in the subsequent stages

Step 3: Details Verification

  • In this step, the candidates will be provided with an option of verifying the details entered by them during the registration step

  • If a candidate feels that he/she has entered some wrong information, they can simply click on the “Edit” button to edit the requisite information

  • The candidates must also ensure that they have filled the category and sub-category fields correctly to avoid any hassle during the seat allotment process

  • After confirming that all the entered details are correct, the candidates have to click on the “Confirm Registration” button

  • The candidates must keep a copy of the filled registration form which they need to produce during the documents verification process

Step 4: Counselling Process Fee Payment

The candidates, in this step, have to log in to their account and deposit INR 450/- which is the counselling registration fee, via any of the available online payment methods

Step 5: Choice Filling

  • After depositing the registration fee, the candidates have to proceed to the Choice Filling step. The Choice Filling button will be visible on the menu bar of the screen

  • The choice filling button will redirect the candidates to the instruction page and before proceeding any further, the candidates have to go through the instructions carefully

  • The choice filling page will consist of two blocks which will display the names of the branches & colleges and choices filled by the candidates. The candidates are suggested to provide the maximum number of choices by clicking on the “Add” button

  • The candidates can also alter the order of the choices filled accordingly with the help of the “Move” and “Swap” buttons

  • One branch and one college will be treated as one choice

  • Candidates eligible for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme will be able to choose from both the TFW and non-TFW seat offering colleges and branches

  • By providing a maximum number of choices, the candidates will have a higher chance of getting a seat during the seat allotment process. The candidates must repeatedly click on the “Save & Continue” button for the purpose of saving their choices

  • The candidates will be able to know the status of their seat allotment in the Mock Results. The candidates, based on the Mock Result, may opt for altering their choice and preference

  • After the Mock Result, the choice locking process will be initiated

  • During the choice locking process, the candidates have to verify if the choices entered by them are as per their requirement or not. Once satisfied, the candidates have to click on the “Lock” button after which an OTP will be sent to them on their Mobile Number and the candidates have to enter the number received via text on the desired text box and click on “Submit” and take a printout of the same

  • The candidates cannot unlock the option after locking their desired option

  • In case a candidate does not/ is not able to lock his/her choices, the system will automatically lock the options

  • Finally, the candidates have to click on the “Print Locked Choice” button

Step 6: Announcement of Seat Allotment List

  • The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board will publish the merit list and the seat allotment list of the candidates as per their choices filled and the openings of various colleges and universities
  • Candidates satisfied with the allotment can report at nodal offices for verification of documents
  • If any candidate is not satisfied with their allocation, they can wait for other list to be announced by the authorities 

Step 7: Verification of Documents at Nodal Centres

  • For the verification of the documents, the candidates have to report at the Nodal Centres allocated to them along with all the requisite documents (original & self-attested)

  • The candidates must also carry their Registration slip and the proof of admission fee payment with them to the Nodal Centres

  • In case a candidate fails to clear the document verification round, the admission fee paid by the candidates will be refunded back. The seats allocated to such candidates will be declared as vacant seats for the next round

  • The candidates have to report at the Nodal Centre’s computer counter to get proof of the documents being verified successfully

  • The candidates can either freeze the seat allocated to them or opt for the upgradation process

  • If a candidate fails to report at the nodal centre for documents verification within the given date, the allocated seat will be cancelled (vacant for next round) and the admission fee will be refunded to the candidate (if applied for the same)

  • The allocated seats of those candidates will also be seized who fail to deposit the admission fee within the given time

  • It is not mandatory for the candidates to carry their document mentioning their locked choices to the Nodal Centres

  • Once a candidate has got his/her documents verified from the Nodal Centre, then he/she is not required to visit the nodal centre for the subsequent rounds

OJEE 2024 Seat Allotment Process

The OJEE seat allotment 2024 will be done as per candidate's the rank, eligibility, reservation criteria, etc. The admissions shall be subject to the verification of credentials and documents during the OJEE 2024 counselling process. Based on the options exercised by the candidates, allotment of seats will be taken up. The OJEE 2024 seat allotment process takes into account all the options/ choices exercised by a candidate in order of preference at each stage. The number of options to be exercised is not limited, and a candidate is advised to give a maximum number of choices from the list of OJEE participating colleges.

The following three procedures must be finished before the allotment begins for any course.

Step 1: The applicant successfully registers for the required stream(s).
Step 2: Candidate must pay the required OJEE 2024 counseling fees
Step 3: Complete and lock the choices It is advisable for a candidate to carefully complete the options and secure it with their own password. The chosen filling has no upper limit.

Candidates who will complete all three of the processes above successfully will be taken into consideration for a seat. There will only be an online option for withdrawals.

Documents Required for OJEE 2024 Counselling Verification

All the allotted candidates will have to report to the assigned nodal centre on the allotted dates for verification of their respective documents:

  • Downloaded Rank card (OJEE/JEE (Main)/ or Scorecard (CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ GATE/ GPAT/ NIMCET etc.)

  • Online registration slip

  • HSC or any other relevant certificate showing the Date of Birth

  • 10 + 2 Mark Sheet [For Engineering, Pharmacy, Integrated MBA], Final Diploma Mark Sheet (for Lateral Entry to B.Tech) or BCA, B.Sc/+3 Sc (IT/CSE) Mark Sheet and +2 Mark sheet for MCA, MCA Lateral Entry) or +3 Mark sheet (MBA) or +3 Mark sheet and +2 Mark sheet (for +3 Sc. / B.Sc. Lateral Entry) or B.Tech/ B. Arch/B. Pharm, final Mark Sheet for PGAT

  • 10 + 2 Pass Certificate [For Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Integrated MBA or Final Diploma Pass Certificate (for Lateral Entry) or BCA, B.Sc/+3 Sc [IT/CSE] Certificate for MCA Lateral Entry & MCA 2nd Year Direct) or +3 Pass Certificate (For MCA,MBA, &+3 Sc. / B.Sc. Lateral Entry and) or B. Tech/B. Arch/B. Pharm Pass Certificate for PGAT

  • School Leaving / College Leaving Certificate

  • Original ‘Resident of Odisha’ Certificate/ Nativity Certificate from concerned Tahasildar

  • Original Certificate of Employment of Candidate’s parent / Spouse Employer: Govt. of Odisha / Govt. of India / Government of India

  • Original SC / ST Certificate by birth

  • Original Certificate of Ex-serviceman

  • Original Green Card issued by Family Welfare Department of Odisha.

  • Original Certificate in support of Outlying Odia Speaking Tract (OL)

  • Original Certificate in support of NRI

The OJEE exam was conducted from October 12th to 19, 2020, and the results are expected to be released soon. The official dates for OJEE Result have not been out yet and you are advised to stay updated with College Dekho and the official website to get the dates as soon as they are out.
