The VITEEE 2024 Result will be calculated on the basis of an Equipercentile Equating Method. This process of calculating the result is a statistical method where the scores of candidates will be adjusted on test forms by the Vellore Institute of Technology. For the ranking and merit list of the candidates, a comparison of the scores mentioned on the scorecards will be done by taking on different test forms. The scores on different forms with the same rank or percentile will be considered equal to identify the percentile rank of the candidates.
The conducting body of the examination i.e. VIT University has adopted the Equipercentile Equating Method to facilitate a fair and meaningful comparison of the rankings of candidates who have taken different forms of tests. This method equates candidates’ scores by adjusting them on test forms so that the scores on the forms can be used interchangeably. To simplify, if the percentile rank of a candidate is 85 then this denotes that there are 85 percent test takers who have scored less than the candidate and 15 percent test takers who have more than the candidate.
The VITEEE 2024 Merit List will be released by the authorities after the results are declared. The list contain will contain the names of those candidates who secure the minimumVITEEE 2024 Cutoff. On the basis of this merit list, candidates will be called for counselling.
To appear for the counselling process of VITEEE, a unique rank will be allotted. The list will be prepared in descending order, which means that the names of the candidates who scored high will be mentioned at the top of the list. Candidates who will make it to the merit list of VITEEE 2024 will be informed by the conducting authority of the exam via SMS sent to the registered mobile number.
