DU Entrance Test-LLB Eligibility

Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria for admission to LL.B. Degree course is as follows:-

  • For General candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them or have passed Third year of integrated law course from any University imparting Five year integrated law course.

  • For other backward classes (OBC) candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks.

  • For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) candidates, a Graduate/Post­Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 40% marks. ( As per Bar Council of India requirements)

  • Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows/wards of ex-servicemen/serving personnel (CW) category who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards.

  • Relaxation of up to 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) category on the recommendations of the competent authority of any Government Hospital.

NOTE: Provided that such a minimum qualifying marks shall not automatically entitle a person to get admission into an institution but only shall entitle the person concerned to fulfill other institutional criteria notified by the institution concerned or by the government concerned from time to time to apply for admission.
