HPCMAT - Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test Eligibility

Educational qualification

Any first bachelor's degree of a university, established by law in India, at least with 50% marks (45% marks in the case of Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe candidate). The students who are appearing for their final bachelor degree examination in 2016 shall be allowed to appear in H.P. State Combined Management Aptitude Test (HP-CMAT).

Basis of Admission - The admission is based on competitive examination which comprises of applications ratings, Management Aptitude Test (objective type having multiple choice Questions), group discussion and personal interview.

Age- No Bar

Marks- At least 50 % marks

Reservation policy- Admission to MBA pro-gramme except for seats reserved for Non subsidized candidates shall be subject to the following conditions:

15% & 7½ % seats shall be reserved for SC/ST candidates respectively, having domicile of HP - irrespective of the Institutions from where they have passed their qualifying exam

The remaining 77½ % seats shall be filled up as under-

 

i) 25% of the seats for admission shall be open for all the candidates- irrespective of the Institution from where they have passed their qualifying exam

ii) 75% of the seats shall be filled out of the candidates, who have passed their qualifying exam from the HP University or HP Krishi Vishwavidayalaya Palampur or Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, HP Technical University & Central University of Himachal Pradesh

5% of the seats shall be reserved for outstanding Sportsmen/Women

5% of the seats shall be reserved for outstanding Cultural Activists

3% of the seats shall be reserved for Persons with Disabilities

Provided that the minimum eligibility for admission to a course in case of SC/ST will be 5% lower than the eligibility conditions for other students

Extra Eligibility Criteria

Admission to MBA pro-gramme except for seats reserved for Non subsidized candidates shall be subject to the following conditions:

15% & 7½ % seats shall be reserved for SC/ST candidates respectively, having domicile of HP - irrespective of the Institutions from where they have passed their qualifying exam

Application Process

HP CMAT 2016 Application Form is available from First week of March, 2016. The candidate needs to fill up the form precisely without any errors and send the filled application form along with other vital enclosures to the recommended address within the announced last date of receiving applications. Fees cash payment of Rs 1000 by post with a payment of Rs 1050 SC/ST category candidates can obtain the form in Rs 500 cash, or Rs 550 by post.
