# CUSAT CAT 2017 - Exam Pattern

**Exam Paper Type** : Online |

- The Entrance Exam will consist Multiple Objective type Questions.
- There will a total number of
**250**questions in the paper. Questions will be divided among Physics and Chemistry. - The total marks combining both the papers is
**750**. - The distribution of questions is given below:
- The paper of Mathematics will bear a total number of
**125 questions**. - The other paper will also have a total number of
**125 question**s which will be divided among Physic and Chemistry in the ratio 3:2.

**Marking Scheme:-**

- Candidates will be awarded
**3 marks**for every**correct**response. - For each incorrect answer,
**1 mark**will be**deducted**.

**Note:-**

- All Questions will be asked as per the syllabus of Class 11th and 12th.
- The separate minimum score of 10 marks in each of the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is compulsory for being qualified to be included in the rank list.
- This requirement of minimum marks, however, will not be applicable for candidates coming under SC/ST communities.

## CUSAT CAT Exam Prepartions FAQ

**1) What is the eligiblity criteria for CUSAT B.Tech Entrance exam ?**

Pass in the Plus Two Examination of the State of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

**2) What is the examination pattern of CUSAT B.Tech Entrance exam ? **

The Test for PG Programmers comprises 150 objective type questions designed to assess the proficiency of the applicant at the Graduate level in the test subject chosen by the candidate.

**3) What is maximum Age Eligibility Criteria ? **

Should not have completed 20 years of age on July 1st of the year of admission; 22 years in the case of SC / ST and OBC candidates.

**4) Will there be any negative marking? **

Negative marking not specified.

**5) Am I allowed to carry a calculator or mobile into the test venue? **

No ,you are not allowed to carry a calculator or mobile into the test venue.
