What is Gujarat Common Entrance Test? The Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will be conducting theGujarat common entrance test (GCET)-2016. The test is conducted for admissions to Masters of business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Applications (MCA).The competitive exam is conducted for admissions to the courses offered by colleges and institutes affiliated to the university. After the exam, a merit list will be prepared and students will be shortlisted for counselling.
Who conducts GCET? GCET is conducted by the Gujarat Technological University.
What is the eligibility for GCET? The candidates should be having a degree in graduation of a minimum three years duration of any UGC recognized university /college. The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying degree being 50% for all the candidates, the exam makes it mandatory for both the courses admission procedure to permit all the final year students to participate. The candidates who are appearing in the final year exam of their qualifying degrees can apply provided they are able to produce their degrees at the time of admissions.
What is the structure/pattern of GCET exam? GCET will be computer based test with choice of appearing twice in the test. Test duration will be of 80 minutes and there will be 100 multiple choice questions with negative marking for wrong answers. However there will be test of 96 minutes for students appearing for MBA & MCA both with 120 multiple choice questions.

Is there any deduction for wrong answers? Yes. There are negative marks for any wrong responses given by the candidates.

Where can one get the GUJCET 2016 application form? The Booklet and Application Forms for Common Entrance Test will be available on payment of Rs.250/- by Demand Draft from nationalized bank payable at Ahmedabad in favour of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar”.
