Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25: The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka will release the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25 for all subjects. The subject-wise blueprint for all the stream subjects will be available on the official website of the Karnataka Board at kseab.karnataka.gov.in. Students who are appearing for the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam in the academic year 2024-25, must go through the Karnataka2nd PUC new pattern 2025. In the previous academic year, the state board made some modifications to the Karnataka class 12 exam pattern. The changes will be followed in this academic year as well. Students must go through the subject wise Karnataka PUC Syllabus 2024-25.

The Karnataka 2nd PUC exam 2025 will be conducted in March 2025. The practical-based subjects will carry a maximum marks of 70 in the theory paper, and the remaining 30 marks will be evaluated based on practical exams. Changes Introduced in Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25

The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka has made some minor changes in the Karnataka2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25. From this academic session, 20 marks will be considered internal for the subjects that do not have practical exams for the first and second PUC. According to the government order, respective school teachers will have to keep records of the marks scored by the students out of 20 marks. 10 points will be evaluated based on the internal assessment i.e., the first and second unit tests and mid-term exams. Schools will consider the best of the two marks from these examinations and will average out of 10 points. The remaining 10 points will be given for the project and assignments.   • 5 marks - projects and writing
  • 3 marks - presentation 
  • 2 marks - viva voce.

In the core subjects like Maths, business studies, economics, languages, and so on, the internal marks will be 20 marks. Whereas, in subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, electronics, computer science, home science, and others, the (70+30) marking scheme will be continued. This is applicable for the 1st and 2nd Karnataka PUC exam-appearing students. However, for the repeaters and private candidates, all the papers will be for 100 marks.

The students must go through the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25 in detail so that they can understand the nature of the questions asked in the exam and also formulate how they will answer the questions in the exam.   • The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours for each subject.
  • The mode of the exam will be offline i.e. pen and paper.
  • The medium of the paper will be English and Hindi except for language papers.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25 for Science Stream

Students of Karnataka PUC science stream will have to appear for 6 subjects including the compulsory language paper, optional and elective paper. The maximum marks that each paper will carry are 100. Students who will choose Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, can also choose Biology as an optional subject for PCM major and those who will take Physics, Chemistry and Biology, can take Physics as an optional subject for PCB-major. The option for language paper will be the same.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25 for Commerce Stream

There are 3 main subjects in the Karnataka 2nd PUC Commerce stream - Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies. The language paper will be compulsory for all the students. Students can take the second language paper as optional for the fifth subject. If the Karnataka 2nd PUC syllabus for Economics is reduced for commerce, it will be reduced for the arts stream as well.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam Pattern 2024-25 for Arts Stream

In the Karnataka 2nd PUC Arts stream, there are mainly 5 compulsory subjects. Students can take home science, sociology, language paper etc as optional papers. The main subjects are History, Political Science, Geology, Geography, and Economics. The total marks for each paper are 100 marks and it is mandatory to pass in the compulsory as well as the optional subjects.

In order to pass the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam 2025, students must secure a minimum of 24 marks in the theory papers which will carry 80 marks. If any student fails to take a short or mid-year exam or does not submit any assignments or projects, that student will have to get 35 marks out of 80 to pass the 2nd PUC board examination.
