S.Tentisheva Asian Medical Institute (SAMI), commonly known as the Asian Medical Institute, was established in 2004. Right after its establishment, SAMI was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Institute is situated in Kant city 58 of Gagarin Street, Kyrgyzstan. S.Tentisheva Asian Medical Institute is listed in the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), Avicenna Directory and the directory of World Health Organization Directory (WHO). Asian Medical Institute has received a certificate for nomination for the first quality award and outstanding achievements in 2018 by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and Agency for quality assurance in the field of education.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The campus of Asian Medical institute is located 20 km from the capital city of Bishkek and is well-connected by road. Asian Medical Institute has many Scientific Centers and Republic Medical Institutions as its clinical bases. The different departments of the institute work in both - applied and fundamental research problems on medicine priority direction. The institute offers accommodation to international students and the hostel rooms on offer are centrally heated, and are available on a sharing basis. The college has a mess facility available where Indian food is served as several Indian students study at the college. The cost of study at Asian Medical institute is quite affordable and the courses offered are globally recognised. The medical degree from Asian Medical Institute is recognised all over the world and the students who pass out from the institute are also eligible to appear for the screening test in any part of the world. The institute has three licenses in professional education - 2 are for General Medicine (MBBS/MD) and one is for Dentistry (BDS/DDS).
Accomplishments & Alumni
Asian Medical Institute has received recognition from the Ministry of Health, the Kyrgyz Republic to train medical professionals. The college is recognised by WHO and the National Medical Commission of India (NMC). Along with quality education, the Asian Medical institute also provides coaching for the screening test conducted in India for candidates holding a foreign medical degree to get a medical licence in India.

Currently, over 2000 students are enrolled in Asian Medical Institute and are pursuing their higher professional education in the field of medicine. Not only the students from Kyrgyzstan but also students from countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, Nigeria, India, America, Turkey, Somalia, Egypt, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, etc are studying at the institute. Students from across 18 countries get enrolled in medical and training programmes offered by the college. The clinical training is not only offered at Kant but also in Bishkek. The training programmes are modernised and technology-driven and are undertaken under the guidance of qualified teachers and medical professionals.
