Manipal University, Udupi has announced the dates for Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MUOET). The examination is conducted for admissions to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and for lateral entries to the B.Tech Programmes for the academic session 2016.
The programs offered
The institute offers 16 programs at the B.Tech level that are Aeronautical, Chemical, Electrical &Electronics, Instrumentation &control, Automobile, Civil, Electronics & Communication, Industrial & Production, Mechatronics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Print & Media Technology.
The Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be an Indian National
- The candidate must have passed 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th Grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional and must have secured at least 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
The Selection Procedure
All the candidates who qualify the MUOET 2016 would be awarded a rank. However the other factors that would be under consideration are:
- Options filled in the counselling.
- Availability of seats.
- Merit list ranking.
- Opening and closing ranks.
The Application Procedure
The Application Form for MUOET is available online on the official website of the university.
The following steps need to be followed for registration:
- Visit the official website of the MUOET and click on register online.
- Submit all the details correctly.
- A specific Application Number and password would be sent to the candidate on the registered email id.
- Log into the website using the application number and password.
- Fill all the necessary information.
- Submit the application fee through any of the online payment modes.
- Upload a scanned copy of the recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Click the submission tab.
Application Fee
Although the amount of the fee would be announced through the information brochure, however it is predicted that the amount of the fee would remain the same as last year.
The MUOET Application Fee: Rs. 600/-
The MUOET Entrance Exam Fee: Rs. 1000/-
Payment of Fee
Online Mode: The candidates can make the payment of fee through online mode via Net Banking or Credit Card.
Offline Mode: The candidate can also make the payment of fee through offline procedure by making the payment through a demand draft of Rs.1600/- drawn in favour of “Manipal University” payable at Udupi or Manipal.
