About Music & Dramatics - The Department beginning the number of students both gents and ladies was only 27. Now it has crossed the figure of 175. Music Department Vision-Mission-Goals to maintain standard of excellence in curriculum teaching, research, performance & other related academic, cultural activities.

• 20th July 1984 - The department was formally inaugurated at the hands of great master late Pt. Mallikarjun Mansoor.
• June 1986 - Padmashree P. L. Deshpande inaugurated the Certificate and Diploma Course in Dramatics and Post Graduation in Vocal Music.
• June 1991 - The well known Tabla Masterao Allarakhhasaheb inaugurated the Instrumental Music Wing which includes Diploma Courses in Sitar, Tabla, Harmonium.
• June 1993 - Department started
• June 1998 - For the encouragement of ‘Lokkala Shahiri’ in Maharashtra, Department started Certificate Course in Shahiri.
