Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM) has achieved cent per cent summer internship placement for the participants of the first batch of its Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Infrastructure Management), said an official spokesperson of the Institute.
Around 42 companies participated in the summer internship process and 33 of them made 100 offers to 49 participants. Prominent infrastructure companies that participated included Knight Frank, Larsen & Toubro, ITD Cementation, Gammon India, Gannon & Dunkley, GE Water, Thermax, Tata Power, IRB Infrastructure, Adani Power, Adani Gas, Adani Port & SEZ, etc.
All the participants received at least one internship offer each while 25 participants, more than 50 per cent of the batch, received more than one internship offer. Thirty five participants received internship offer with stipend.
Set up by the $10 billion Adani Group, AIIM had first launched the one-year PG programme in Infrastructure Management (PGPIM) for executives with significant work experience, in 2009. Subsequently, AIIM launched two-year fulltime residential PGDM (IM) in 2015. The programme is designed for young graduates aspiring to build a career in the infrastructure sector.
Programme in infrastructure management
1. Two-Year PGDM (Infrastructure Management)-PGDM (Infrastructure Management) programme is an AICTE-approved Two-year Full-Time specialized residential programme for fresh or recent graduates who are passionate about pursuing a career in infrastructure.
2. 15-month Executive PGDM (Infrastructure Management)-Executive PGDM (Infrastructure Management) is an AICTE-approved 15-month full-time specialized residential programme for working professionals which provides a unique learning opportunity in a short span.
Courses offered in PGPIM employ a mix of pedagogical methods including case discussion and analysis, lectures, group exercises, simulations, presentations, role plays, project work and field visits. Special emphasis is laid on the case method as a dominant mode of instruction.
PGPIM was designed by a Programme Design Committee under the Chairmanship of Prof. G. Raghuram, Indian Railway chair professor at IIM Ahmedabad.
