According to a notification released by the college, the polling will be done on October 8. September 29 is the last date for filing nominations.

Initially, the elections were schooled to be held on September 26. The university canceled it later saying that the candidates were violating the rules and conduct of elections.

As a result, various students along with a candidate of the elections staged a protest sit-in outside the Vice Chancellor's residence asking for the polls to be conducted on the scheduled date.
