Union Minister Prakash Javadekar inaugurated the Transit campus of the Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP). The transit campus has been established in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
Prakash Javadekar addressed the audience at the inaugural function. He informed that the government has granted 491.30 acres of land at Janthaluru village in Anantapur district for the establishment of Central University Andhra Pradesh. As of now, the central government has sanctioned Rs. 3,000 crore for these institutions.

He wants Andhra Pradesh Central University to excel in academic, research, teaching and innovation in the coming years under the mentorship of the University of Hyderabad. He also said that they will focus on providing the students with relevant job opportunities and making them employable graduate. At last, he concluded the speech by congratulating everyone for the established of the Central University of Andhra Pradesh and said that they should focus on providing good academic experience to the students and research projects.

The IT Business Incubation Centre of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological (JNT) University in Anantapur is the Transit campus of the Central University for the period of three years till the time CUAP moves to its own campus in Jantaluru Village.
