Youngsters are now looking at the army as a career option. High-paying corporate jobs are not the only opportunities that entice engineers and software professional. Many of them are drawn towards the army with their passion for serving the nation.
Many of the Gentlemen and Lady Cadets were engineering and software professionals before they chose to serve the army.
V Saranya was working with TCS before she joined the army. She is now a Commissioned Officer and is happy about the choice she had made. Her passion for the Indian Army was fueled when she participated in the NCC camps.

A graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Saranya has always been a good student and had an excellent academic record.
The army transforms individuals into confident officers who do every assigned task without fretting.
R Satish Kumar is another individual who chose the army after graduating in mechanical engineering. With the dream to join the army, Kumar quit his corporate to evolve as a patriotic officer in the Indian Army and making his family proud.
Valuing the addition of technical graduates in the Indian army, Commandant OTA, Lt Gen Bobby Mathews said that they are all a valued addition to the army as it moves ahead on a hi-tech road map.
Engineering is not the only field that has attracted young men towards the army. A number of professionals from various other streams such as journalists and scientists are also inspired to join the army.
