Ashoka University has announced admissions for the Young India Fellowship class of 2022. The first round of applications will be open till January 7, 2021. The second round of applications will commence on January 8 and will end on April 12, 2021.

Admissions Open at Ashoka University for Young India Fellowship Class of 2022

Ashoka University has announced admissions for the 11th batch of its flagship programme, the Young India Fellowship (YIF). The applications began from November 3, 2020, for the first round and will remain open till January 7, 2021. The second and final application round will start on January 8 and will end on April 12, 2021. YIF is one of its kind Fellowship in India for training brilliant young individuals to become socially conscious leaders by taking them through various academic and professional avenues. It is a 1-year fully residential multidisciplinary PG Diploma in Liberal Studies. Let's take a look at the details about YIF below.

Young India Fellowship Important Dates 2021-22

The important dates for the programme are as follows

Young India Fellowship Eligibility Criteria 

  • Candidates with a recognised UG or PG degree from any academic or professional background can apply
  • Final year students in their undergraduate degree are also eligible to apply
  • The age of the candidates should not be more than 28 as on August 1, 2021
  • Candidates with work experience can apply

Young India Fellowship Application Form 

All candidates who are interested in applying for this programme have to fill an online application form. The entire admission process will take place online due to COVID-19. There are also certain relaxations on document submission during the application process.

Young India Fellowship Selection Process

The applications submitted by the candidates will be screened and on the basis of that, candidates will be shortlisted for

  • An Online Writing Test
  • Personal Interview

Young India Fellowship Fee 

The fee for the Young India Fellowship Programme will be 9.45 lakh INR. This includes residence and tuition fee. The university also has a need-based Financial Aid Programme for selected candidates and it will be provided as fee waivers from 25% relaxation on tuition fee to 100% of the fee including meals and residence.

The Young India Fellowship programme is divided into eight terms with six weeks each and the candidates study about 20 courses from various disciplines taught by the strong pool of experienced faculty at Ashoka and other leading institutes globally. The curriculum includes Public Policy, Group Dynamics, Leadership, Communication, Gender and Media Studies etc to name a few. The curriculum also comprises workshops, guest lectures and learning sessions.
