BHU CUET PG Merit List 2026BHU CUET PG Merit List 2026: The Banaras Hindu University is preparing the CUET PG merit list 2026, which is likely to be released by the end of June 2026, at the official admission portal- admission.bhu.ac.in . The authority will issue both program-wise merit lists and a combined merit list. To prepare the merit list, the BHU authority follows the normalised metrics and strategic structural tie-breakers. More specifically, the three factors, such as the primary CUET PG scores, the Institutional Preference Policy and Category and Supernumerary Allocations, are the primary involved components for preparing the rank lists.
Note that if two or more candidates get the same CUET PG score, then a common rank cannot be shared. In such a situation, the authority will implement a three-level tie-breaking policy. At first, the authority will consider the candidates’ aggregate graduation percentages. If the tie persists, then the subject-specific performance will be considered. Next to break the tie, the authority will give higher priority to the older candidates.
BHU CUET PG Merit List 2026: How to Prepare Common Ranks?
To prepare the Common ranks, the BHU will include the following components:
- Primary CUET PG Scores: Based on the absolute marks or normalised score obtained in the specific domain paper, the common ranks will be strictly allotted to the candidates. The higher the test score, the more superior it will be ranked.
- Institutional Preference Policy: The overall seat matrix of BHU will be categorised into institutional and open segments (C1 and C2 categories). The candidates who completed their graduation from BHU will have a leverage of receiving an institutional weightage/ preference. It will be more privileged for the BHU students than the non-BHU candidates.
- Category and Supernumerary Allocations: Ranks will be segregated cleanly across horizontal parameters such as General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS. Whereas the separate supernumerary ranks will be evaluated for specialised quotas like the Sports Quota, Paid Seats, and Employee Wards.
