A group of students of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS) is on a protest since three days due to the fees hike that has been introduced from the coming academic year. The students of the institute are taking out protest marches against the administration as they have increased the fee by 17% against the normal fee hike of 15%.
The students are agitated against the fee hike as it is way more than the normal. One of the B.Tech students of BITS Pilani expressed his anguish and said that this will force the students to take a loan to complete their studies. Since the fees of BITS is comparatively higher than other premier institutions like IITs and NITs, this will put an extra burden on the students.
