The Bihar Public Service Commission, abbreviated as BPSC, has published a notification regarding the upcoming Bihar Judicial Services Competitive Examination. The notification has been released on the official website of the Commission. As per the notice, the BPSC exam has been postponed from 7th October 2020 to 8th December 2020.

BPSC Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria for Bihar Judicial Services Competitive Examination in order to be considered for the position. The commission is strict about the qualifications of applicants and those who do not qualify the conditions are rejected at once. The BPSC Judicial Services eligibility criteria have been mentioned below.

  • The candidate must have completed a degree in law from a recognised university or institute.
  • The age of the applicant has to be between 22 and 35 years. 
  • Candidates of reserved categories including SC/ST, EWS, Backward/Extremely Backward Class, PwD and Women are provided with 5 years of relaxation. They can apply until 40 years of age.

BPSC Judicial Services Application Process 2020

The application process of BPSC Judicial Services is conducted through an online mode. Interested candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of BPSC Judicial Services before applying for the entrance exam. Aspirants have to first generate the Username and Password and then fill all the personal and academic details. The form will be considered as successfully submitted only after the payment of Rs 600/- by General and Rs 150/- by reserved categories have been received.

BPSC Judicial Services Exam Pattern 2020

Provided below is the exam pattern of the BPSC Judicial Services exam. Go through the table to get a better understanding of the same.

Preliminary Exam: The prelims exam of BPSC Judicial Services has two papers, that are General Studies and Law. All questions are of MCQ format. General Studies is of 100 marks and Law is of 150 marks.

Mains Exam: The main exam of BPSC Judicial Services is of 1050 marks. The exam consists of three subjects from the optional part and five subjects of the compulsory part. The exam is subjective or descriptive in nature. 

BPSC Judicial Services Selection Process 2020

The final selection of a candidate is done through three stages of the BPSC Judicial Services exam. An applicant has to appear for preliminary & main exam and a subsequent interview stage. Candidates who have qualified the written exam are called for the next round, i.e. the interview round. In the final stage, a document verification process is held where the applicant has to produce all the original documents for the interview.
