SKIP has always put in their endeavor for Community Service. In the same spirit, Cancer Awareness Seminar was organized on 8th October 2016 at SKIP. The Inaugural function was chaired by renowned personalities such as Dr. Umesh Kumar Khandelwal, DM (Medical Oncology), Senior Consultant, SDMH Hospital, Jaipur (Raj.), Mr. Jaipal Meel, Director, SKIP, Mrs. Rachna Meel, Registrar, SKIP, Professor (Mrs.) Hemlata Dullar, Principal, SKIP, Jaipur (Raj.). The Program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Jaipal Meel and gave emphasized that all Pharmacists should become updated with newer advancements in the field of Pharmacy.

Dr. Umesh Kumar Khandelwal threw more light on the cancer awareness seminar. He lauded the efforts of the SKIP family and exhorted students and faculty member. He delivered a lecture on “Cancer Awareness” and explained that most common treatments for cancer are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.

Professor Hemlata Dullar impressed every one by her excellent talk on “Role of Pharmacist in Community Pharmacy” and explained that a healthy person cannot “catch” cancer from someone who has it, means cancer cells from one person are generally unable to live in the body of another healthy person.

The Seminar Concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Professor (Mrs.) Hemlata Dullar, Principal of SKIP.
