Delhi University (DU) officials have asked the applicants to be extra careful while filling the DU application form 2018 as they will not be allowed to change the details in the application form once they have submitted the form and made the payment. Although the warning has been mentioned on the application page, many students have fallen prey to confusion.
DU officials reported that change in application form is not allowed once the candidates have made payments. They also added that this has been one of the major areas of confusion amongst applicants who are applying for admission to the University of Delhi. Candidates have been advised to read the DU application and admission guidelines properly before submitting the forms.
Deputy Dean of Students’ Welfare at DU, Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, said that unfortunately, no changes can be made after the payment and that this had been mentioned on the portal. He added that so far the university has received over 1150 emails through the DU Admission 2018 helpline from students who have made payments but realized later that there are errors in their applications.
He advised students that they should cross-check and double check all the information before submitting their application and making payment. Other officials stated that if students have any confusion, they must put in a query and wait for a response before they submit their application.
They also added that do not want to encourage duplicate applications, therefore the solution for students who have already submitted their applications will be sought on a case-by-case basis. The officials have also advised students who are facing difficulty in uploading the documents required for DU admissions to upload just the portion comprising personal details and date of birth.
