The draft New Education Policy (NEP) 2019 was unveiled recently. Many changes were proposed to revamp the education system in India. One among the major changes proposed by draft NEP was the introduction of a common or single entrance exam for university admissions in India. It means, a single entrance exam will be conducted for the admission in all universities across the country, and the idea will be helpful for students as they need not apply for multiple universities for seeking admissions. On the other hand, the entrance exam for university admissions can be conducted multiple times a year adding more flexibility for students.
