CTET 2022 Revised Eligibility Criteria: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) each year. As the conducting body, the CBSE is merely responsible for conducting the exams, whereas the eligibility criteria each year are laid out by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). For CTET 2022, the eligibility criteria have been revised and released by the concerned authorities. Candidates interested in applying for the course must ensure to meet the revised eligibility criteria norms to be eligible. These CTET 2022 revised eligibility criteria have been released for the recruitment of Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5), Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8), and Physical Education Teachers for the central government schools of India only.

CTET 2022 Revised Eligibility Criteria: Guidelines by NCTE
NCTE has laid out some new guidelines for the educational qualification of the candidates applying for the CTET 2022 exams. The NCTE holds the responsibility and authority to release the minimum required qualifications for applying for the CTET 2022 exams. Here are the guidelines to be followed, to check the eligibility:
Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% and a B.Ed degree.
OR
Candidates must complete post-graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 55% along with a three–year integrated degree in B.Ed+M.Ed.
OR
Completed Graduation with 50% and one year of B.Ed in Special education.
Further, as per the notification released by the NCTE, a clause stated that candidates with a three-year integrated degree of B.Ed+M.Ed will only be eligible for a Primary Teacher, provide he/she agrees to attain a six months Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years from the date of appointment mandatorily.

Age Limit
- The minimum age limit of 18 years.
- There is no upper limit for age.
Nationality
Applicants should necessarily be Indian citizens to be eligible to apply for the CTET 2022.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the educational qualification required for Primary and Upper Primary. Here are the required qualifications out of which candidates must qualify for any one:

Note: A relaxation of 5% for ST/SC/PwD/OBC candidates in the qualifying exams.
CTET 2022 papers
CTET 2022 will have two papers. Candidates must appear for any one or two as per their applications.
- Paper 1: For Primary Classes 1 to 5
- Paper 2: For Upper Primary Classes 6 to 8.
CTET 2022 Reservation Criteria
- CTET 2022 does not offer any reservation criteria for reserved categories (ST/SC/OBC/PwD).
- However, candidates scoring 60% in CTET 2022 will be considered qualified for general category candidates. And for ST/SC/OBC/PwD candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% to qualify for the CTET 2022 exams.
CTET 2022 Number of Attempts
- There is no limit to the number of attempts for CTET 2022. Candidates who have appeared for the CTET previously and are qualified are eligible to appear. As well as, candidates who appeared and did not qualify for the CTET exams previously.
- The only criteria that apply to it are the current eligibility criteria. If the candidate meets the current eligibility criteria, he/she will be eligible for CTET 2022.
