Delhi School Holiday on December 15: Due to deteriorating air quality, the Delhi Directorate of Education (DDE) has ordered all schools to switch to hybrid mode for Classes 1–9 and 11. The ruling comes after GRAP-IV pollution control measures were activated by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM). In an effort to lessen children's exposure to dangerous pollution while maintaining academic continuity, Delhi and Noida schools quickly switched to online and hybrid classrooms for pupils when the air quality deteriorated to extreme levels and Delhi School Holiday from December 15 onwards have been announced. Under the DoE, NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board, government, government-aided, and unaided recognised private schools are covered by the directive. Until further notice, schools are required to provide a combination of online and in-person instruction whenever possible.

Wherever the option is accessible, pupils and their guardians will be able to attend classes virtually, according to the official notice. Schools throughout Delhi immediately adopted the hybrid model to strike a compromise between safety concerns and learning continuity because pollution levels pose major health dangers, particularly for children.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration recently issued a significant decision for schools and coaching centres in Noida following the adoption of GRAP Stage-IV. Until further notice, all students from pre-nursery through Class 5 will attend all classes virtually. Classes 6 through 9 will be taught in a hybrid manner that combines online and in-person instruction as needed. Students in Class 11 will also attend classes in a hybrid format.

In light of the rising pollution levels, the district administration has formally instructed all schools and coaching centres connected to different boards to closely adhere to the new arrangements. In an effort to reduce pollution and safeguard public health, officials have tightened regulations in workplaces and educational institutions as Delhi's air quality has fallen into the "severe" zone.  Although the goal of hybrid learning methods is to lower exposure and vehicle emissions, officials have stated that if pollution levels do not improve in the next few days, additional action may be needed.
