Delhi University will formally release the DU UG first seat allocation list on July 16, 2026 . Out of the total registered applicants, 1,64,098 candidates successfully completed Phase 2 by locking in their preferred programme and college combinations.

What Should Candidates Do After DU First Seat Allotment?
Once the first merit list drops on July 16, candidates must log into the CSAS portal to check their status. If allocated a seat, students must accept it and pay the admission fee within the stipulated timeline.
DU has introduced a new virtual wallet mechanism for fee payments this year. If a student is upgraded to a preferred college in subsequent rounds, the fee amount adjusts automatically without requiring repeated transactions. After securing the initial seat, students can choose to 'Freeze' their choice or opt for an 'Upgrade' to reorder their higher preferences. DU aims to conclude two full allocation rounds before the new academic session officially commences on July 28, 2026.
