Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara College of Ayurveda (SDMCA), Hassan, was established in the year 1992 by Dr.D. Veerendra Heggade as a part of SDM Educational Society.
The college provides excellent facilities at the campus. A magnificent college building, based on the principles of Ayurveda, is spread over a sprawling green campus. All the 14 Departments are well established with state of the art infrastructure in accord with the standard norms of Apex CCIM, New Delhi.

An incredible Dissection Theatre and Specimen museum is established in an extensive area to provide practical knowledge to the students. The Herbal Garden of the college, popularly known as Dhanwantari Vana, with more than 10,000 plants of 500 species including rare medicinal and aromatic plants, inspires students to learn about various plant species and their healing power. Adequate transport facilities are provided to the staff and students. This facility also serves to outreach clinical, social and research activities.
Library Facilities:
College library or ‘temple of knowledge’ is the heart of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara College of Ayurveda College. The library has a unique serene reading ambience with quality lighting & ventilation, enjoying a proactive advisory committee. It is a repository of printed as well as electronic resources which include:

The library provides access to e-journals via RGUHS HELINET, newspapers, periodicals, abstractive databases, database pertaining to case studies and additionally multimedia resources. To meet the needs of the students, the library working hours are stretched from - 8 AM to 10 PM.

Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara College of Ayurveda always believes that physical education plays a vital role in the student’s development and growth. Keeping this motto in mind, they always encourage students to participate both in out - door and in - door games and sports.

For the convenience of the students and the faculty members, banking facility is available in the campus of the college. A branch of Vijaya Bank is located with ATM facility as to provide round the clock service. The placement of the bank facilities in the premises makes cash transactions safe for the students and health seekers.
