GATE 2027 Application Registration Begins SoonGATE 2027 Application Registration Begins Soon: IIT Madras will commence the GATE 2027 application registration soon, tentatively within the next two days. Since the authority has already delayed the GATE 2027 registration twice, and the last date of registration is coming close, the registration date will be declared shortly. For the same, the candidates are advised to check the official website of IIT Madras: gate2027.iitm.ac.in frequently. Once the registration link is activated, the candidates should complete the process beforehand. The last date for GATE 2026 application registration without a late fee is September 27, 2026 , but the last date may be extended. After that, candidates can complete their registration till October 5, 2026 (with a late fee).
GATE 2027 DigiLocker Registration: Important Instructions
From this year, candidates should complete registration through a verified DigiLocker account. Hence, candidates who do not have a DigiLocker account should create one before starting the application process. Candidates are advised to refer to the following instructions:
- Make sure that the DigiLocker account is active and verified, with a verified email address.
- The mobile number linked with DigiLocker must be active, as OTPs may be required during authentication.
- Candidates must create a folder named “GATE2027” in the DigiLocker Drive. The folder name should be written without any spaces.
- Do not close, navigate, or refresh the DigiLocker authentication window until the until the GATE registration is completed.
- During the registration, the personal details of the candidates, such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, profile picture, address, and verified ID details, will be fetched.
- Before submitting the GATE application form, the candidates should check that the name and date of birth in their selected verified ID are correct.
- Class 10 or 12, UG or PG marksheets do not need to be uploaded to DigiLocker for GATE 2027 registration.
- SC/ST candidates and PwD candidates should upload their category certificate as per the specifications.
