GCET 2022 Exam Date

GCET 2022: As per a notice by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa, the Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET or GCET) has been rescheduled to June 27 and June 28, 2022. Earlier, GCET 2022 exam was to be conducted on May 11 and May 12, 2022. However, it has been mentioned in the notice that the dates of the examination will only be confirmed 10 days prior to the examination.

The procedure and schedule of submission of GCET Application Form 2022 will be notified on the official website of DTE, Goa @www.dte.goa.gov.in. Interested candidates shall apply for Goa CET within the given deadline.

The Goa CET is a state-level entrance examination administered by DTE Goa for admission to professional Engineering degree courses offered at various colleges throughout Goa. It has been confirmed that GCET will be conducted offline while the application process will be done solely online. Goa CET is carried out for a total of 225 marks. It is divided into three sections, each of two hours. The sections are divided into Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. GCET Exam will be carried out in Multiple-Choice type of questions or MCQs. Each section carries 75 questions for 75 marks, i.e., 1 mark per question. There is no negative marking. It must be noted that to apply for GCET Exam, the applicant has to pay a fee of INR 2000/- for their application to uphold validity. This fee is to be paid within the deadline of application form submission itself. No separate deadline for fee payment will be provided. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill out the application form beforehand as the dte.goa.gov.in website may face lag.

If, for some reason, a candidate is unable to fill the application form within the given deadline, DTE Goa will provide a window for accepting late submissions. However, a fine of INR 1500/- will be applicable for late submissions.
