The list of candidates shortlisted for the final round of selection for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has been released by the institute. Candidates whose names appear in the list are eligible to appear for the PI-WAT process for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) / PGP course at IIM Bangalore.

IIM Bangalore Shortlist Status 2021
IIM Bangalore has shortlisted candidates for its PGP 2021-23 batch admissions. Shortlisted candidates have been emailed directly by the college and invited to register for the PI-WAT process.
How to Check IIM Bangalore Shortlist 2021
Interested candidates can check their shortlist / waitlist status by visiting the official website of IIMB. Only those candidates who have been shortlisted for the PI-WAT round and have submitted the application form would be getting a call for an interview from IIM Bangalore. Candidates will also be required to use the above link to register for the Personal Interview process of IIM Bangalore. Candidates have to use their application number and the email ID provided in the CAT 2020 application to login to the portal and register for the interview process at IIM Bangalore. The PI-WAT rounds at IIMB would be commencing in the month of February 2021 and will continue till March 2021.
The PI-WAT round for MBA admission at IIMB will be conducted in five cities -- Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata. Both the rounds will be conducted on the same day.

IIM Bangalore Shortlist Criteria 2021
IIMB follows a two-step process for the selection of candidates to its MBA / PGP course.
The first step involves the shortlisting of candidates based upon the information provided in their application. The candidature of an applicant is calculated based upon their composite score. IIMB calculates the composite score by taking into account a number of parameters with different weightage provided to each.
In the second step, candidates who have registered for the PI-WAT round at IIMB are called for an interview. The final admission of a candidate is done on the basis of the marks calculated on their overall profile.

IIM Bangalore Shortlist Key Highlights 2021
Here are some major updates regarding the IIMB shortlisting process this year.
The CAT cutoff for shortlisting of candidates was 85 percentile this year.
An expected total of 1400 candidates have been shortlisted for the 400 seats available for the MBA course at IIMB.
CAT score was given a 40% weightage in the shortlisting process.
8% weightage was provided to the Work Experience of a candidate in the shortlisting process.
Admission to the MBA course at IIMB is considered to be very difficult, which makes it all the more important that candidates have an in-depth knowledge of the admission process so that they can work upon their applications. Applicants have to go about smartly when applying for MBA admission at IIMB since the institute not only considers the academics but also the overall profile of a candidate during the final selection.
