On August 17, Saturday Ramesh Pokriyal 'Nishank', Union Human Resource Development Minister tasked the Chairmen and Directors of NITs (National Institute of Technology) and IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) to prove that Sanskrit is a scientific language. He wants to prove this because if the talking computers become a reality in the near future then Sanskrit will be the most appropriate language used in the talking computers.
Union Human Resource Development Minister, Ramesh Pokriyal 'Nishank' said that NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) approved Sanskrit as the most scientific language as in Sanskrit words are spoken in the manner they are thought of. Hence, if talking computers become a reality then Sanskrit will be the most useful language for communicating.
The minister has made claims earlier at the IIT Bombay 57th convocation referring to an article of a NASA scientist - Knowledge Representation in Sanskrit and Artificial Intelligence published in the magazine of Artificial Intelligence.
He said that the motive is to strengthen all the languages of India and promote it globally. Sanskrit is the oldest language. The Vedas and Puranas were written in Sanskrit.
