New Delhi-based Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), organised a one-day International Management Conference on ‘Business and Economy: Growth, Governance and Globalisation’ on March 5th, 2016, at its campus.Conference Chair and Associate Professor at FIIB, Dr. Amiya K Mohapatra, explained how the G3 model is the need of the day.

Professor and Chairperson at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, JNU, Delhi, Dr. Amita Singh, was the keynote speaker and spoke on the role of governance in education and economy. She stressed on that it is only through good governance that we can attract more investors in India. She mentioned several examples from the states of India which have implemented the citizen’s charter, an example of good governance and have been attracting a number of investors.
Member, Competition Commission of India, Mr. M. S. Sahoo, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. He talked about various regulatory agencies like SEBI and their independence to make laws and how they can contribute to good governance leading to a better environment for the economy.
On this occasion, the organisers released the conference proceedings and two edited books comprising of selected articles and research papers of participants. The inaugural session was followed by paper presentations in five tracks from the delegates. The event was attended by around 60 dignitaries and participants from several reputed institutions in India who presented their research work.
Dr. Jatinder Singh, Sr. Secretary-CSR, Innovation, Education & Skill Development, PHD Chamber, and New Delhi was the Guest for the Valedictory Session. Sigh emphasized that until unless we have not touched the bottom of the pyramid of the society, until unless we have not touched the deprived part of the society we are not economically developed.
Conference Advisor and Director FIIB Dr. Anil Kumar Sinha,told that more than 40 institutes participated in the International Management Conference, 12 resource persons from reputed institutions observed the paper presentations, 90 authors contributed to 50 research papers and 61 of them presented their papers in the conference.
