IP University has released the revised academic calendar for its session of 2019-2020. The final exams of IP University 2020 are scheduled to commence from July 10, 2020. All the intermediate semester students to be promoted on the basis of internal assessment.
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) of Delhi, which is popularly known as IP University, has released an updated academic calendar for its ongoing session of 2019-2020. IP University has revised its academic schedule in order to manage all the academic activities that were postponed or discontinued due to the outbreak of the coronavirus followed by several nationwide lockdowns for containing the virus spread. The students who are in the intermediate semesters/years will be promoted to the next semester/year on the basis of the 50 per cent weightage of the marks in the previous semester/year and 50 per cent weightage in the internal assessment of the current semester in each subject.
IP University Revised Academic Calendar 2019-20
As per the revised calendar of the IP University, the examinations for all the final semester students of the university will commence from July 10, 2020. The exam duration will be two hours and they can be held over the weekends. The lab exams will be conducted once the theory exams are finished. If needed, the lab exams may be conducted online if the physical lab exam is not feasible.
IP University Examination Mode: Offline or Online
The exams are likely to be conducted in the offline mode. The university will ensure that the social distancing norms and usage of masks are adhered to. Sanitisation will also be done by all the colleges and centres which will be conducting the exams. There will be a change in the duration of the IP University examinations this year. The total time allocated for each exam has been reduced to 120 minutes (two hours) instead of the previous duration of three hours. The IP University final exams 2020 date sheet is yet to be released and the varsity will publish the same on its official website.
In case the exams of IP University are organised in the online mode, the paper will have multiple-choice questions (MCQ) paper and it will either be conducted through AI (artificial intelligence) proctored software or through other alternative tools. It has been said that the laboratory examinations will also be held online with the aid of video conferencing tools used by the respective department and institute.

IP University Summer Internships
In an official notice issued by the IP University, the students of all the programmes other than those who are in their final semester are required to take up summer internships during the period from May 7, 2020, till June 20, 2020. The students can undertake internships either in companies where they have to be present or they can opt for online internships. The students who are unable to get an opportunity for securing an online internship should inform the Principals/ Deans/ Directors of their respective colleges regarding the completion of the same as per the guidelines of the University/ AICTE/ UGC latest by May 25, 2020.

The notice has further stated that the revised academic calendar for all the courses offered by the University School of Medical and Para Medical Sciences and the University School of Architecture will be announced by IP University later.
