Kakatiya University celebrated its 21st convocation ceremony on July 11, 2018. The University Auditorium at Kakatiya University campus was the venue for the convocation ceremony. Director of IIT Delhi, Professor V Ramgopal Rao was the Chief Guest who delivered the convocation address.
Addressing the students, Professor V Ramgopal Rao revealed that Indian institutes need to focus on international collaborations in research. Teaching and research are the two aspects that should go hand in hand. It is the responsibility of the universities to provide real-world exposure to students. Students must reach to the position of jo providers instead of job seekers, and it could be possible with self-confidence, he motivated.

Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University, Professor R Sayanna detailed the achievements of Kakatiya University in the last few years. NAAC has accredited Kakatiya University with ‘A’ grade recently The varsity scored CGPA 3.36 out of 4-point scale, he added.
As a part of the convocation ceremony, varsity awarded Ph.D degrees to 538 students in eight faculties. Similarly, the varsity awarded gold medals to 276 students. The convocation ceremony commenced at 11:30 AM. The varsity had constituted 12 committees for the smooth conduct of 21st convocation ceremony

Kakatiya University has concluded the first phase counselling process for the admission to PG courses on July 08, 2018. Candidates who participated in the counselling and exercised web options will have to download the seat allotment letter soon. The varsity is yet to announce seat allotment results of the first phase counselling. Depending upon the number of vacant seats after the first phase, the varsity will initiate the process for second phase counselling.
