In its recent notification, the University of Mysore has declared that the Karnataka State Eligibility Test or KSET for the academic year 2021 will be conducted on 25th July. KSET 2021 was supposed to be conducted on 11th April but was postponed due to the second wave of COVID. This piece contains all the important KSET 2021 important exam-day instructions for the candidates that the University of Mysore officials have released in their latest official “Candidate Directives” notification.
Important Instructions for Candidates Appearing in KSET 2021
Some of the important instructions for candidates appearing in KSET 2021 are as follows:
The KSET 2021 exam centre is released on the official KSET website 10 days before the exam date
The candidates must carry a valid photoidentity proof along with their KSET 2021 hall tickets to their respective exam centres
Candidates who are late by more than 20 minutes will be denied admission to the examination hall. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the exam hall until 10 am (for the 1st session) and 12 pm (the 2nd session). Also, during the last 20 minutes of each session, the candidates will not be allowed to use the restroom
The candidates must only open the seal of their respective test booklets after
9:30 AM (General Paper)
11:00 AM (Subject Papers)
The candidates must not write their mobile numbers or make any special mark on their OMR sheets that may reveal their identity in any way. If found doing so, the candidates will be subject to disqualification under the “unfair means” rule
The candidates will not be permitted to utilise log tables or calculators or any other electronic devices
On completion of the examination, the candidates will be permitted to take the utilised test booklets as well as the carbonless copies of the OMR sheets
For PwD candidates -
An extra 20 minutes for each paper will be provided
Scribes, whose graduation subject is different from that of the candidates, will be provided
Scribes will be allocated by the KSET officials and no candidate can bring his/her own scribe
Physically Handicapped candidates who are unable to write in their own handwriting may request the services of a scribe in writing to the Nodal Officer of their respective KSET centres at least one week before the day of the examination
The candidates will not be paid any TA/DA
Candidates, who will not appear in the first session of the examination, will not be permitted to appear in the second session of the examination
The candidates will not be permitted to write questions from the test booklet on their hall tickets or any other page. If caught doing so, the candidates would be disqualified for cheating
Candidates are urged to check the KSET website and the websites of other universities of the nodal centres for updates on their registration status, the test venue and seating arrangements among other things
Candidates can contact their nodal officers for any query
In the event of a discrepancy between the Kannada and English versions of the question paper booklet, the English version may be considered definitive
Things Candidates can Carry to KSET Exam Halls
The candidates can carry the following things to their respective exam centres and examination halls -
Face mask
Hand gloves
Transparent water bottle
Small sanitiser bottle (50 ml)
All the exam-related documents
