The parameters considered for the increment in fee included the cost of organising and conducting the examination for a huge number of students. Another parameter was the comparison between the exam fee of Madras University and other state varsities. Cost required for managing the students at the time of examination and other hidden miscellaneous costs were also taken under consideration while making the final decision of fee increment.
