Guidelines after Allotment
Auto-Freeze (for Seat Allotted against 1st Preference): In case of an allotment of a seat according to the 1st Preference of a candidate, the allotment will be automatically frozen. The candidate needs to confirm his allotment by logging in online, pay the allotment fees, and report to the institute before August 5, 2026 (by 5 PM). Not reporting will lead to loss of the allotted seat.
Self-Freeze / Not-Freeze (2nd & Higher Preferences): In case of allotment of seats against 2nd and further preferences, candidates can choose whether to go for Self-Freeze to confirm their admission or Not-Freeze to take part in CAP Round 2. Application submission for CAP Round 2 will begin on August 7, 2026.
