The following are the eligibility criteria for Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Admission 2024:

  • Candidates applying for Maharashtra BSc Agriculture must be at least 16 years old on the last date of submission of the Centralised Admission Process

  • The candidate must have got at least 50% in Class 12th (General category). Students of reserved categories like SC/ST/VJa/NTb/NTc/NTd/OBC/ SBC/EWS/Person with Disability (PWD) /Orphan must have got a minimum of 40% in their intermediate studies and in MH-CET more than 0. 

  • Candidates must have a 10+2 or equivalent in PCM or PCMB and English from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Education

  • In the year of application, the candidate must have taken the MHT CET with PCM/PCB

  • Candidates who have not studied in Biology or Mathematics in Class 12, must study deficiency courses offered by the universities.
  • Students must take MHT CET/JEE/NEET 2024 conducted by a competitive authority to obtain admission in BSc (Hons) Horticulture courses. 
BSc (Hons) Forestry
  • Qualified candidates of Class 12 who studied in the 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English are eligible for admission into BSc (Hons) Forestry
  • Students who have not studied either Biology or Mathematics in their intermediate/ Class 12 must take up deficiency courses offered by the universities.
  • MHT CET/ NEET 2024-25 is a mandatory exam that all aspirants should write and qualify in order to become eligible for the BSc (Hons) Forestry Course of Maharashtra. 
BFSc (Hons) Fishery Science
  • Applicants must have qualified Class 12th with PCM or PCMB and English in the 10+2 pattern from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination. 
  • Students who haven't taken Biology or Mathematics in Class 12 must finish the required deficiency courses offered at their universities, except for courses in agriculture and engineering.
  • To be considered eligible for the Maharashtra BSc Agriculture admissions process, candidates need to appear for the MHT CET/NEET 2024 exam.
BTech Agriculture Engineering
  • Aspirants of BTech Agriculture Engineering course should have passed in the 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English.
  • Students must take MHT CET/JEE 2024 conducted by a competitive authority to obtain admission in BSc (Hons) Horticulture courses. 
BTech Food Technology
  • Admission to the BTech Food Technology programme is open to qualified Class 12 students who completed their studies in the 10+2 pattern from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English.
  • Appearing for MHT CET 2024 or JEE 2024  is a must in order to obtain admission in the BTech Food Technology programme
  • The mandatory deficiency courses provided by respective universities must be completed by students who did not study Biology or Mathematics in Class 12.
BTech Biotechnology
  • Class 12 passed out candidates who studied in the 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English are eligible for the BTech Biotechnology course
  • Those who did not take Biology will need to finish the prerequisite courses that the relevant university specifies.
  • Admission to BTech Biotechnology course requires qualification in the MHT CET 2024 or JEE 2024, which is administered by a competitive authority of Maharashtra. 
BSc Community Science
  • Aspirants must have completed Class 12th  in the 10+2 pattern from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination, with PCM or PCMB and English. 
  • Candidates must take the MHT CET 2024/JEE/NEET in order to be considered for admission to the Maharashtra BSc Community Science programme.
  • Students who have not studied Biology or Mathematics must complete deficiency courses as stipulated by their respective universities.
BSc Agri business Management
  • Candidates must have qualified in the 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English
  • Students who have not taken Biology or Mathematics must complete deficiency courses as prescribed by their respective universities except Agriculture Engineering Courses
  • Aspirants must appear for MHT CET/ /JEE/NEET 2024- 25 exam in order to become eligible for the admission process of Maharashtra BSc Agriculture

Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Admission 2024: Application Form 

The following are the steps to fill out the online application form for Maharashtra BSc Agriculture admission 2024:

Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form

  • Candidates must visit the official website of Maharashtra Agriculture admission (https://ug.agriadmissions.in/) to fill in the online application form. A candidate can fill in only one application at a time. In case, two applications are submitted, the application that is submitted last will be considered invalid.

  • All applications will be accepted in online mode only. No application through postal mail will be accepted.

  • Candidates who are applying through the Institute Quota or Minority Quota must also fill in the online application form and upload the required documents.

Step 2: Upload the Required Documents

The candidates will have to upload the required documents after filling the Maharashtra BSc Agriculture admission 2024 application form. The candidates who scan their documents via M/S. KTPL, Pune centers will have to pay INR 5 per document for scanning. Following are the documents that must be uploaded with the application form:

  • Scanned copy of candidate's signature

  • Scanned copy of the passport-sized photograph

  • Original copy of necessary academic documents

Step 3: Application Fees

There is no application fee to apply online for Maharashtra BSc Agricultural courses. However, the candidates who have not appeared in MHT-CET for the academic year will have to pay an application fee of INR 800/-. (600/- for reserved & handicapped) through an online payment gateway.

Maharashtra BSc Agriculture 2024: Selection Process

Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Admission 2024 is primarily determined by the MHT CET entrance exam. Candidates must first register for the MHT CET in order to begin the Maharashtra BSc Agriculture 2024 admissions process, which includes the entrance exam. The results will be released following the MHT CET entrance exam. The MHT CET result will be used to determine Maharashtra BSc Agriculture admissions in 2024. Following the results, the Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Counselling process will begin via the MAH CET CAP portal.

Maharashtra BSc Agriculture 2024: Merit List 

Following the entrance exam, the Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Merit List will be released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell. The MHT CET conducting authority will release the Merit Lists 1, 2, 3, and 4 in accordance with the number of available seats.

Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Merit List 2024 will be compiled based on the marks scored by candidates in the MHT-CET. The Maharashtra BSc Agriculture admission 2024 merit list will be made available on the official website and here below. Candidates can access and download the merit list. The merit list will not be communicated to the candidates separately via post or telecommunication. Following the publication of the 'Provisional Merit List,' each candidate must go online and confirm that his or her name, category, marks, weightages, and so on are correct.

Candidates who have complaints about the provisional merit list should present their grievance 'online' using their 'Login ID' and 'Password', which they received when they registered for admission on or before the deadline. If a candidate's grievance application is not received in online format within the specified time period, his or her grievance will be ignored.

Maharashtra BSc Agriculture 2024: Counselling Process (MAH CET CAP Portal)

For BSc Agriculture admission at Maharashtra Agricultural Institutes, candidates must appear at the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) based on the merit list that has been prepared. Freeze: This option allows candidates to accept the seat allotted to them. After selecting the freeze option, candidates cannot appear in further rounds of the counselling process.

Float: This option allows candidates to accept an offer in the Institute. However, Later on, if a seat is allotted in a higher institution, the candidate can accept the new offer.

Lock the Seat: Once a seat has been assigned to a candidate, he or she must visit the college for document verification. After document verification, the candidate must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 1000/- to secure their allotted seats. Online payment is necessary.

Once admission has been confirmed through the MAH CET CAP counselling process, the candidate must go to the assigned institute to verify the original documents. To complete the admission process, the candidate must pay the institute's semester fee and get a receipt for payment of fees from the institute.

The following are the important documents that must be brought to the allotted college for Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Admission 2024. To confirm their seat at the allotted Institute, candidates must bring a printed copy of the provisional admission allotment letter with them. Dear vaishnav, the Shri Shivaji Agriculture College, Amravati does not offer spot admission. The college offers admission to the B.Sc (Agriculture) course through the MHT CET entrance exam. The application form for the MHT CET can be downloaded from the MSCE website. The application fee is Rs 500 for general category candidates and Rs 250 for reserved category candidates. You can pply for registration next year since the 2023 admissions have closed.
