Maharashtra Gets Second Cluster University - Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate (HSNC) University

The second cluster university of  Maharashtra was inaugurated in Mumbai.  The university is set up by The Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board.

Maharashtra got its second cluster university which was inaugurated by the state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and the Higher and Technical Education minister Uday Samant. The first cluster university of Maharashtra- Homi Bhabha State University in Mumbai was inaugurated last year.

The second cluster University is set up by The Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board in Mumbai. It is the first cluster university set up in the state by a private entity. The affiliated institutes of the university are HR college, KC College and Bombay Teachers Training College

The aim of The Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate (HSNC) University is to promote skill development and to promote courses like dance, music and yoga which will help students get course credits along with an e-certificate.

Other concepts that are included are a dedicated ‘Incubation Centre’ to help students connect with associations and self-learning modules in the curriculum which will help students score good marks.

Digitisation is the need of the hour. It is for this reason that the university is all set to support digital technology by bringing of operations like online registration, enrolment and examination. They are also planning to develop a rapid evaluation system through which the results will be declared within 30 days of exam, according to the statement released by the university Board

Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate (HSNC) University Admission 2020

Admission at The Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate (HSNC) University for second and third-year of graduation courses will begin soon. Admission of first-year students will be accepted after the declaration of Class XII results.

The Provost of the university, Niranjan Hiranandani said that the university will handle asks in phases. Students will have the liberty to complete the course at their own pace. To avoid pressurising final year students with exams, the institutes will do conduct assessment tests, seminars and certificate courses on a regular basis.

What is a Cluster University?

Cluster university is the set of institutes that gives students an option to opt integrated courses. Students can choose courses from different disciplines like science, commerce, economics, humanities and arts etc.

The set of institutes that form cluster university are located close to each other.
