Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon and Indian Aviation Academy (IAA) have signed an MoU for academic collaboration. The two institutions aim to provide quality education, training, research and consultancy in Aviation Management with this collaboration. The MoU, signed at the MDI Gurgaon campus, binds the two institutes into a 5-year long partnership in which they will work on providing joint management programmes.
MDI and IAA are both reputed institutes in the field of management education and aviation training respective. The two institutes have laid the foundation for a collaborative future between business education and aviation training with this collaboration.

Together, MDI and IAA have long-term plans from this collaboration under which they will develop and deliver Management Development Programmes (MDP) in the stream of Aviation Management. This will be a novel venture, which will bridge the industry-academia gap in the aviation management field.
Pawan Kumar Singh, the Director of MDI Gurgaon, said that this partnership will help the institute develop a 'culture of experiential learning with training activities in the field of aviation'. He also brought forward the benefits of this collaboration in providing high-quality training to young aviation aspirants while at the same time supporting the industry by providing it with trained manpower.

Several senior officials of IAA and MDI Gurgaon, including the Dean of MDI Gurgaon, took part in the meeting in which the MoU was signed.
Hareendranathan E P, the Executive Director of IAA, also spoke about bridging the gap between the learning and industry requirements with this initiative. He expressed his delight at collaborating with MDI for providing aviation management education in India.
