How to Lock Options Before the Deadline & Check Allotment Result
1. Log in at fe2026.mahacet.org , review your preference order, enter your password, and click Confirm Option Form. Ensure you download the acknowledgment slip.
2. On August 12, log in to your portal dashboard using your Application ID and Password to view your Round 2 seat allotment status.
3. If allotted your First 3 Preferences, the seat is Auto-Frozen. For other choices, choose Freeze to accept or Betterment to hold the seat while opting for CAP Round 3.
4. Candidates receiving a fresh allotment in Round 2 must pay the mandatory non-refundable Rs.1,000 seat acceptance fee online via the candidate portal between August 13 and 17.
5. Report to the allotted engineering institute with all original documents, verification receipts, and admission fees to confirm your seat.
Rules Governing Post-Allotment Choices (Round 2)
Auto-Freeze Mandatory Rule: Candidates who receive an allotment corresponding to their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd preference will be automatically frozen by the CET Cell system. Such candidates cannot participate in CAP Round 3 and must complete online seat acceptance and physical reporting by August 17.
Betterment Option: Candidates allotted options beyond their top three choices can retain their Round 2 seat by selecting Betterment, paying the seat acceptance fee, and proceeding to CAP Round 3 for potential upgradation.
Failure to Confirm: If an option form is filled but not confirmed before tonight's cutoff, the last saved unconfirmed options will not be processed for seat allocation in Round 2.
