NEET 2026 Round 1 Choice Filling BeginsNEET UG 2026 Round 1 Choice Filling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially opened the online Round 1 Choice Filling Window today, August 6, 2026, for medical aspirants participating in the NEET UG 2026 All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. Eligible candidates who have completed or are undergoing Round 1 registration and fee payment can now fill their preferences for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing seats under the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and other participating institutes.
The choice filling window will remain active until August 13, 2026, up to 11:00 AM IST. Candidates seeking admission into 15% AIQ seats across government medical colleges, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing institutes must submit their preferences within this timeframe.

Important Instructions for NEET 2026 Round 1 Choice Filling
Candidates should follow these instructions while filling their college preferences:
Choice selection and preference locking must be completed strictly through the official website at mcc.nic.in. No offline submissions or alternate portals are recognized.
Seat allocation algorithms process choices strictly in sequential order (1, 2, 3...) based on merit rank and eligibility. Always place top-tier preferred colleges above safety backups.
The choice locking feature will be activated specifically at 4 PM on August 12, 2026. Candidates who fill their preferences but fail to manually lock them will have their last saved choices automatically locked by the system at 11 AM on August 13, 2026.
Once choices are locked, either manually or automatically, they cannot be unlocked, edited, or reordered under any circumstance for Round 1.
Candidates must save and print a hard copy of the final locked choice list, as it serves as mandatory verification proof during physical college reporting between August 18 and August 22, 2026.
