NEET 2024 Exam Centres are available across 554 cities in India and 14 other cities internationally. A significant expansion from the previous year’s NEET exam centre has been observed. The final exam centre assignment will be communicated through admit cards, expected released in final week of April. An advance notification regarding the exam city will precede this, likely in 3rd week of April 2024.
The total number of NEET exam centre 2024 is anticipated to be approximately 5,000. Around 69 additional exam centres have been established in Indian cities and three have been removed. Previously, there were 4,097 centres across 499 Indian cities and 14 international ones. The anticipated rise in centres for NEET 2024 aims to accommodate more candidates, facilitating exam participation in their vicinity.
NEET UG 2024 Admit Card will likely be released in the final week of April. Applicants were allowed to designate their preferred NEET exam centre city during registration, with allocation based on these preferences by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
This year, candidates were allowed to opt for international cities during the application correction window of NEET UG 2024 Exam. NEET 2024 Exam Centres – Highlights
The NEET 2024 Information Bulletin outlines that NEET UG will occur in a total of 554 centres in India and 14 centres abroad:
Availability: This year, NEET 2024 exam will be conducted in 554 cities and 14 foreign cities giving candidates a vast range of options to choose from. Based on last year's data, the exam was conducted in 485 cities across India and 14 international cities.
Exam Cities: Candidates are allowed to select four exam cities that are convenient for them during the application process. Make sure the names of the centres are filled in the right priority order.
Selection Criteria: The selection of the exam centre is based on the state of the candidate's permanent and present address.
Merger of Exam centres: In case of insufficient applicants in a particular centre, the NTA reserves the right to merge it with another nearby centre.
Amenities: NEET 2024 exam centres are equipped with proper seating arrangements, CCTV surveillance, and proper invigilation to ensure a smooth and hassle-free exam experience.
Admit Card: The NEET UG 2024 Admit Card will contain the details of the candidate's allotted exam centre, including the address and contact information.
- Non-Changeable: Once the exam centre is allotted, it cannot be changed under any circumstances. Therefore, candidates must choose their exam centre wisely.

Candidates need to follow these steps to check the details of NEET 2024 exam centres on the admit card:

Click on the link saying ‘Download NEET UG admit card’
Carefully check all details, such as name, application number, time and date of exam, name of the city and location of the exam centre etc.
Candidates need to take a printout of the admit card for future reference.
How Many NEET 2024 Exam Centres Can Be Selected?
Candidates must select up to four preferred cities, in order of priority, for the NEET 2024 exam centres during the application process. It is important to note that the selection of cities is limited to the state of residence only, and candidates must choose city codes from their state or neighbouring states. NEET exam centres are allotted based on the current and permanent address provided by the applicants. Hence, they must choose exam centres that are nearer to their residence.
How are NEET Exam Centres 2024 Allocated?
NEET Exam Centres 2024 are selected based on the past trends of the number of applications received and the final list of applicants. The NTA reserves the right to not allot an exam centre for a particular city if the number of candidates who opt for it falls below a certain minimum. The state-wise distribution of centres for NEET 2024 can be checked by candidates to make an informed choice.
It is also important to note that if the total number of candidates who opt for a city as an exam centre, with a preference for a regional language other than Hindi and English, is less than the minimum count, candidates may be allotted an exam centre in another city regardless of their preferred choice of exam centre of NEET 2024. The allotment of exam centres is done digitally, without the intervention of officials. However, the NTA closely monitors the process to ensure that candidates' convenience and comfort are prioritized.

Download and keep a copy of the same for future reference

The NEET exam centres list 2024 will be available after the exam. In the last five years, the number of centres has grown significantly, from 750 to over 4,000. NTA has expanded to over 500 cities, reaching more students. Also, this year, around 25 lakh students have registered for NEET UG 2024. Hence, NTA needs to increase the NEET exam centres inorder to ensure that students have a smooth exam day experience.

Instructions for Students at NEET 2024 Exam Centre
Here are some important instructions for candidates at the NEET 2024 exam centre:
- Visit the NEET exam city a day before to avoid confusion on exam day.
- Follow the NEET Dress Code 2024.
- Do not bring restricted items like calculators, phones, or food.
- Diabetic students can bring fruits or sugar tablets.
- Arrive at the NEET exam centre 2024 at the specified "reporting time" on your admit card.
- The latest time to enter the exam hall is 1:30 PM.
- Leave the NEET exam centre one by one to avoid crowding.
Documents Needed to be Carried at the NEET 2024 Exam Centre
On the NEET 2024 exam day, students have to visit the test centre and carry specific documents along with them. One must not carry any other item apart from the documents needed. Admit card of NEET exam along with self-declaration (Undertaking).
One passport-size photograph (the document must be the same as the one uploaded in the application form) is needed for the attendance sheet.
An original and valid identity proof that has been issued by the government (PAN card/ Voter ID/ Driving License/ 12th Class Board Admits or Registration Card/ Aadhar Card/ Passport/ EAadhar/ Ration Card, etc.) is needed.
PwD certificate (if applicable)
1 colored postcard sized (4”6”) photograph with a white background, must be pasted in Proforma (one can download the same along with the admit card)
Candidates living far from the allotted exam cities are advised to reach the destination at least a day or two before the scheduled date of the test to get familiar with the new location.
