Another incident of carelessness by Medical Counselling Committee - MCC has come to the notice. MCC has drawn back the list of candidates who were allotted seats in the first counseling session of NEET PG qualified students. The first counseling list was released on its official website on 28 March 2018. As per the notice of MCC, the list now stands as null and void.
The committee will publish the fresh list of the fresh allotment soon on its official website. They have also extended the last date of reporting i.e. 5 April 2018. The result for NEET PG 2018 was declared on 23 January 2018 and is conducted for the various postgraduate programme in the medical field.
As soon as the first allotment list came out, MCC retracted the same statement that it had some technical/ inadvertent mistake which led to a lot of chaos and confusion among students. However, the students have been advised to keep checking the MCC website for further updates regarding the fresh list of allotment. The registration for NEET PG counseling 2018 took place from 14 March to 19 March 2018.
The withdrawal of the list has caused a lot inconvenience to the candidates as it will lead delay in counseling which further delays the whole admission process. Meanwhile, various other states have started the counseling sessions for the state quota seats. However, the counseling process in Karnataka has been put on hold by the Supreme court due to the notification issued by Karnataka Govt. Regarding making minimum 10-year study mandatory in the state to qualify the NEET PG exam.
