The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was among the top 10 searches of Indians on Google in 2019. Along with NEET result, NEET exam was also one of the most-searched topics which stood at the seventh rank overall.
The top five searches were Indian versus South Africa, Cameron Boyce, Copa Aerica, Bangladesh versus India and iPhone 11.
'How to check NEET result' ranked fourth among the 'how to's' in Google India searches. It was preceded by 'how to vote', 'how to link Aadhaar and PAN' and 'how to check name in voter's list'.

The highest number of searches about how to check NEET result in the country came from Jammu and Kashmir and the searches for NEET result got the most number of searches from Andaman and Nicobar islands.
NEET is a national level exam that is organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to pick students for admission in the medical sector. The candidates who seek admission to MBBS and BDS courses have to clear NEET, which is a JEE Main exam equivalent, a test that is conducted for engineering courses.
A good number of candidates appear for the NEET exam every year and it saw over 15 lakh candidates this year. However, it was in the news for many other reasons.

2019 marked the new decision that made NEET mandatory for candidates who want to get into medical abroad which was not the case earlier.
The NEET All India second rank holder compared the exam with AIIMS 2019 entrance exam and said it was easier and less competitive than AIIMS entrance exam. Adding to it, AIIMS and JIPMER 2019 entrance exams were also merged.
Further, NEET 2020 applications have already been issued which will also be accepted in offline mode.
