New PG Courses at BHU: Eligibility, Selection Process & Important Dates

Banaras Hindu University, (BHU) Varanasi, has started its online admission process and applications for the newly introduced five postgraduate courses. Candidates eyeing PG admissions 2018 at BHU in different specialisations and streams can find elaborated details here.

New PG Courses at BHU:

  • M.Sc in Environmental Sciences with specializations in Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Ecological Sciences and Environmental Biotechnology
  • M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing
  • Masters in Business Economics and Management

M.Sc Environmental Science Eligibility at BHU:

  • Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in B.Sc Hons/ B.Sc Agriculture/ B.Sc/ B.Pharma/ B.Tech/ B.E. from BHU or any other recognised university in the 10+2+3 pattern.
  • Minimum aggregate eligibility for the course is 50%.

M.Sc Mathematics & Computing Eligibility at BHU:

  • B.Sc Hons/B.A. in science subjects or candidates who have studied Mathematics Hons. or maths in all three years are also eligible for the same.
  • Minimum aggregate for the course is 50%.

Masters in Business Economics and Management Eligibility at BHU:

  • Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc/ B.Tech/ B.B.A./ B.E. to apply for the programme.
  • The minimum pass percentage required for the master’s programme is 50%

BHU Selection Process for PG Courses 2018:

  • The final admission to these programmes will be on the basis of entrance test conducted by BHU.
  • The entrance test will be of 120 minutes carrying 360 marks. Each programme will have their respective entrance examination.

The BHU entrance test will take place on 24 June at Mirzapur, Delhi, Varanasi, Kolkata and Hyderabad depending upon the number of candidates. Candidates can fill the application forms in online mode latest by 31 May. The application fees for general category candidates is Rs. 500 and for reserved category (SC/ST/PH) it is Rs. 250.
